TEXT ONLY VERSION

“Life is a story told in words and pictures.”

We all have stories to tell about our life, experiences however good or bad, our best and worst moments. Usher people are no exception, they do tell!

There was a book called, “Touch, Touch and Touch Again” written by Doreen Woodford (British Deaf History Society Publications 2000) about the history of visually impaired deaf and deafblind people dating back to as early as 17th century. The stories in the book, however interesting and mainly written by hearing people, seems quite sparse. The author, Doreen Woodford, stated that it had been very difficult to find accounts, stories and records about the history of visually impaired deaf and deafblind people because there were very little written compared to millions of other stories about people in general.

So UsherLife hopes to rectify this by collecting as many stories by Usher and deafblind people as we can. Usher Stories is divided into three sections - Usher Life Stories, Usher Humour and Ushers in the Media.
