Sarah Reed, Berkshire On a visit to one of the Deaf centres during our travels in the Communication Through Touch Project where we myself and Janice Floyd were interviewing participants for the research. I had decided to have a drink, so I went into the kitchen for it. Groan! It was dark in there as the kitchen happened to have no windows. So I used my hands to feel my way along the walls looking for the light switch. I was unaware that one of the male staff was already in the kitchen, standing by the wall... My hands moved along the upper part of this man’s chest... Eeeeek!! I screamed in horror! Suddenly, the man bolted out of the room in embarrassment! I nearly died shock and laughter too!
