Oh Balls! Nick Sturley, London Don’t you hate it when those supermarkets move their products to different shelves all the time? It is annoying when you find the food you want to buy has moved to a different shelf location and you spend ages trying to find it? Well, when I went into my local supermarket for shopping and one of the items in my list was a can of meatballs. I knew where to find it ... until, yeah, you’ve guessed it, they’ve been moved to another shelf somewhere! I walked round and round the blasted supermarket trying to find that can of meatballs! I got frustated and annoyed and saw one of the male staff unloading items from the box to the shelf and I want over to him. I slapped his shoulder hard, giving him a fright and I wrote down a piece of paper demanding to know where the @!*X^/ meatballs are. To my horror, this male staff has a learning disability - one of those sort with low intelligence and I got embarrassed! This male staff was helpful though and led me to where those meatballs were and even helped to pick one of the cans off the shelf. I was really dead embarassed and I kindly patted his back to show my appreciation. He bowed his head Japanese style to me and smiled. I felt so bad about slapping hard on his shoulder! Got to remember to keep my temper next time! |
